Spotfire end users can configure their analyses in many ways. The Spotfire developer automate these configurations using the API. This section describes Spotfire configuring options and provides the corresponding code.
Overview
The TIBCO Spotfire platform exposes a broad set of APIs. There are however
many aspects of the application and the analysis that can be configured
without writing any code. This section provides information about configuring
options, along with some code samples explaining how to achieve the result
of succesful configuring using the API.
End User Configuring Capabilities
The Spotfire end user can configure different parts of the analysis, such
as the visualizations, application and column properties, and action links.
Data can be enriched by performing calculations based on expressions,
but it even simpler is to add expressions directly to column axes, making
the axes a responsive part of the analysis.
Administrator Configuring Capabilities
A Spotfire administrator can also configure the end user experience setting
preferences and licenses. Refer to the Administration Manager
