Data on Demand

When a new data table is added to an analysis it can be added all at once, or “on demand”. This means that only parts of the data in the new data table is loaded – when it is relevant.


Only rows related to markings in a visualization are loaded from the new data table if the data is loaded on demand. If the markings in the visualization are changed, so is the demand from the new data table, and the new relevant rows will be loaded.

This is useful for example if the new data table is so large that it will take a long time to load it into TIBCO Spotfire in its entirety.
